Reason #1 Evan's not borrowing my car anytime soon

Auntie Wendy brought down Baylee's old busy seat. He was a little unsure at first but once he got comfortable in it, he's driving around town!

Evan's trying out solid food

Evan's 5 months old so we decided to try out cereal. He seems to really enjoy his rice cereal and even reaches out to pull the spoon into his mouth. The only problem we've come across is the lack of output. :)

The doctor's office suggested 2 tsp dark corn syrup with 2ozs of water. It did the trick!

Thank goodness winter is officially over

Mom stayed with us for 3 months--in winter. She only had the chance to watch flurries. Weeks before spring, we had our second snow storm of the year....

Here's our humble abode.

sleep! sleep!

Evan slept at 8:30pm last night and woke up at 6am. I am surprised that he past the 8hr mark.
It's now 11:30am and he hasn't taken his morning nap. For the last month, I tremble with anticipation every morning of that 3 hour nap that usually comes between 9a to 1p. Oh, the sleep is so sweet. Alas, not today. If I had known.... I'd plan my night differently.

My baby and Evan... I mean my baby and Rascal

He seems to like Rascal quite a bit. But that doesn't mean that I am about to share....

We're reaching mobility!

Evan wiggles so much that he works up a sweat! He's been trying to move on his own and is now able to wiggle backwards. He hasn't fully figured out his legs yet. This is him trying to go forward but ending up in a "downward-dog" position. Coincidentally, downward dog is the only yoga position I do comfortably without hurting myself.

Evan's che che

Evan has discovered Patty-Kat. On many occasions, he has reached out to 'pet' her. He grabs a fistful of her fur and tries to eat it. Patty usually tolerates him for a while before walking away.
However she still feels a little left out and found out recently that if she goes into sleeping-Evan's room, and meow loudly next to his crib, she usually gets plenty of attention. What she cannot comprehend is why Jim wants to make a rug out of her.
Here, he's on the 'grandma room,' playing on the bed when Patty jumped up to watch him. I do keep an eye out for her but so far, no sneezing from him and no scratches from her. He's probably going to be that kid in kindergarden that thinks his older sister is a cat.

Evan's 5 months and growing. I should know...both my arms ache. We call this shot "Lawrence of Arabia." He refused to allow me to remove his shirt.
