The sledding incident

Good idea: There's snow on the ground, the weather is 'warm,' we had Auntie Wendy's old sled and Foss Hill is around the corner

Gramma and Papa getting Evan ready to do down his first trip on a sled

Blue blanket takes the ride too

All set to go down

The snow melted yesterday and iced over night.

Bad idea: sledding on ice down Mount Everest a.k.a Foss Hill, getting airborne, breaking the sound barrier on your first sled ride

Mutinous look for Mommy after the sledding incident

just chillin'

after an eventful day, Evan snugs up with Daddy to watch Hercules

Gemmy O's!

Evan decided to feed Gemmy Cheerios. Gemmy licked it out of his tiny hands and then, not liking it, she spat it out. Evan quickly picked it up and popped it in his mouth. Waste not want not. Yummm....

House hold chores

To help with the house, Evan does a few chores around the house.

Sometimes he helps with the laundry and even knows where the fabric softner goes...

and sometimes he scrubs the sink

And if he doesn't do a good job, I turn off the heat.

I even do toilets.....

There's a whole roll of toilet paper down there...

When Evan's not around....

The North Pole Express

Part of Gramma and Papa's Christmas gift was a ride on the North Pole Express.

Inside the North Pole Express!!

Rub Rudolph's nose for luck!!

Take the damn picture already! I can't hold this smile much longer. I don't know if I can trust this guy in red. How does he know if I've been good or bad?

Lady, if you have cookies, I'll spill the beans

Evan was very intrigued by the hanging lights in the carriage

Home again

We returned home for Christmas night where we opened our presents.

I asked Jim to get Evan something he can ride on around the house. And this is what he came home with...

Daddy demonstrates how to use it. Evan finally warmed up to his new toy 24hrs later

Guess what Uncle Eric got him?

Christmas morning at the Bordwells

It's Christmas morning! While everyone else happily tore through their presents, Evan spent his time happily checking out Uncle Ken's groovy lamp shade

Christmas morning at the Bordwells

After presents, it's time for goofing around

So, how's the weather?

When the weather channel forecast a snowstorm that will bring about a foot of snow, we get a couple of inches. But when the weather channel called for a few scattered snow showers, we got accumulation over 8 inches. What fun!

Getting ready for Christmas

Finally! We went to Jones Christmas Tree Farm for our Christmas tree. We found the parking lot, went to the barn to get our saw... and that's as far as we went. Mommy is wimpy and wasn't going to battle the cold winds and Evan didn't like his mittens. So we picked out a freshly cut douglas fir ( or at least I think it was a douglas fir)available for wimpies like me and headed home.
